About Unity Counseling Services
Jill Tietz is a licensed marraige and family therapist in both Indiana and Tennessee who was trained at Indiana Wesleyan University and has been practicing since her graduation in 2008. Ms. Tietz has practiced in a variety of environments including private practice, community service, and mental health hospitals. Her undergraduate degree in elementary education with a minor in preschool from Butler University allows for strong support of students academically who seek help with study skills, organizational skills, AD/HD support and IEP (individual education plans) advocacy.
Jill’s logo of the Gingko Leaf is a tribute to her mother who loved the ginkgo tree and all that it stood for. The history of the ginkgo is an especially interesting one as it is the oldest living tree in the world and is often planted after an important life event in Asian cultures. The gingko tree has served as a symbol of peace and hope, strength and longevity, and light and dark. For Jill’s practice it serves as a symbol that she will compassionately support each clients desire for peace and give them hope througout their mental health journey. She will provide strength even when her client is feeling weak due to long term effects of their mental health struggles. She will stand with you in the dark and shine a light guiding you to your identified best you.
At this time Unity Counseling Services is taking on new clients and is open on Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 4pm. Appointments can be made by calling Ms. Tietz at 615-761-6778.
